What is a Blog?

Blogs are like online journals. They are websites where the blogger writes and posts entries (articles or photos or videos). The entries are called "posts" and are put in chronological order with the newest ones at the opening page of the blog.

Why build blogs?

Blogs are easy to create and update, and they let you to share your news and thoughts with friends or with anyone in the world.

Blogs can be used:
  • to express personal opinions.
  • to share knowledge and opinions about books, sports teams, recipes, robots ;-), photography, etc.
  • to have online class discussions of a teacher or student's ideas on a topic.
  • as an educational medium.
  • and even as a campaign strategy for presidential candidates.

You can easily create a blog by going to Blogger.com - but remember that what you put in the Internet lives forever so always say kind things about people and don't give out personal information!

    I learned that blogs are cool! And that you can make them about EVERYTHING.......... I do want to be a blogger. I would blog about my life! :)

    I learned that blogs are a great way to get info. I would maybe make a blog if I didn't have to keep up with it all the time. I would probably write my blog about my new school.

    I learned that anyone can start a blog. I also learned that anyone can post on your blog, but no one can change your blog. I would start a blog about life or chocolate.
